We went back through the Kingsland, Inks Lake, Marble Falls, Llano, & Castell  areas this past weekend to see the scenery.  We piled our entire family into the car, and off we went!
The Llano area … including Hwy 29 and smaller County Roads, has some nice colors.

Here’s some more eye candy from the Inks Lake Road:
its not Bluebonnets… its a castle in the Hill Country!

ITS RAINING around the Fredericksburg area tonight!!! YAY! Its just a few small showers, but what  a wonderful sight!   This will help our wildflowers! After finishing up with a photo session yesterday on the 2nd, we decided to do more scouting, so we drove from Enchanted Rock through Llano, Castell,  Mason, & Doss.  By the time we got to Doss it was dark… – The Enchanted Rock/Llano/Castell/Mason areas now have more colors than last week! bb2120 IMG_2124 Bluebonnets near Llano, Tx IMG_2159between Llano & Castell Tx. The colors, arn’t as good as past years, but there’s still some great patches along our Hill Country roads! And… if you are a pro photographer, artist, or just like taking pictures, then you’ll see plenty of other ‘photo ops’ along the way! 2193sepiaLlano RiverIMG_2135Church near Castell, Tx By the way, we saw 2 rattlesnakes this evening on the roads!!! One was near Castell, the other near Doss… so watch out!

Fredericksburg Tx (Gillespie County) area … – Wildseed Farms on Hwy 290 (east of Fbg) has a nice planted field of bluebonnets. These are planted in rows, and are not ‘wild’, but its nice to see the blue. – Hwy 87 from Fredericksburg to Mason has some nice colors esp, after the Llano River bridge & closer to Mason, in Mason County. – There are some patches of blue at the LBJ Park on Hwy 290 east of Fredericksburg. We need some rain!  Even if we get just a little rain,  the hardy bluebonnets will grow fuller as they are still in the early stages!
